Investindustrial completes SPAC transaction with Zegna Group
Niederer Kraft Frey acted as the Swiss law advisor to Investindustrial in connection with the combination of Investindustrial Acquisition Corp. and Ermenegildo Zegna N.V.
The world-renowed Italian luxury group Zegna completed its business combination with Investindustrial AcquisitionCorp. (NYSE:IIAC), a special purpose acquisition corporation sponsored by investment subsidiaries of Investindustrial VII L.P. The newly combined company commenced trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the new ticker symbol “ZGN” on Monday, 20 December 2021.
Investindustrial is a leading European group of independently managed investment, holding and advisory companies with EUR 11 billion of raised fund capital. Based on the transaction value, the merged entity expected to have an initial enterprise value of USD 3.1 billion and an initial market capitalisation of USD 2.4 billion.
