Grasshopper Football Ltd partners with new anchor investor

On 9 April 2020, Hong Kong-based Champion Union HK Holdings Limited acquired 90 per cent. of the stake in Grasshopper Football Ltd, the entity operating professional football of Grasshopper Club Zurich, from former majority shareholders Dr. Peter Stüber and Stephan Anliker. As part of the transaction a new foundation, the Grasshopper Football Foundation, was established. The Foundation shall safeguard the current and long-term interests of the Grasshopper football as a whole. The transaction could be completed after its clearance by the Swiss Football League.

The sales process was managed and the contracts were negotiated by Grasshopper Football Ltd director and NKF partner Dr. András Gurovits (Corporate/M&A, Regulatory), working with NKF partner Manuel Werder (M&A) and NKF senior associate Roman Sturzenegger (Corporate/M&A).
