Experience
For more than 15 years Marco advises and specialises on international and domestic credit finance and debt capital market transactions as well as in securities lending, repo and derivatives matters. In addition, Marco regularly advise on financial regulatory and insolvency and restructuring aspects. Marco is recognised as a Leading Lawyer in the practice areas Banking & Finance and Capital Markets by Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, IFLR 1000, Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal and Best Lawyers. Recently, Marco has been appointed as an officer of the Banking Law Committee of the International Bar Association.
Highlights include:
- Advising the arrangers on the financing for the CHF 10.2 bn acquisition of Nestlé Skin Health by EQT and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority
- Advising the European Investment Bank, European Investment Bank, Bpifrance, Euler Hermes, SACE as export credit agencies and various commercial banks in the 3.6 billion project financing for Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG (a Swiss project company) for the TAP project which will transport natural gas through a 878 km long pipeline from the giant Shah Deniz II field in Azerbaijan to Europe
- Advising the arrangers on various Swiss Re debt capital market transactions and its EMTN-programme
- Advising Glencore in various debt capital market transactions and its EMTN-programme
- Author of the Swiss industry opinion on the various international securities lending master agreements and on the master repurchase agreements for The International Capital Markets Association (ICMA), the International Securities Lending Association (ISLA) and the Capital Adequacy Directive Working Group
